Affinity Bar, 29-31 Campo Lane, Sheffield, S1 2EG
Perfectly placed near to mainstream bars on West Street, yet nicely tucked away on Campo Lane. Affinity is a top quality bar for Sheffield's cosmopolitan and metrosexual community.

This is cool and definitely what the Sheffield gay scene needs. Loads of my friends use Affinity as a meeting place to start their Friday and Saturday nights out because it really is buzzing! Affinity does get a bit cramped at times, but the layout means you can spread out and see different people. And the bar is never more than a few feet away! It's got quite trendy decor and reminds me of those Canal Street bars in Manchester. You can even take your drinks outside now which is wicked!

Don't believe the stories that Affinity is Fuel in disguise. The former Sheffield club may be responsible for opening the venue, and is owned by a Hull businessman, but that is as far as the connections go! Affinity is under its second ownership and appears to have shrugged off the 'curse' of Fuel by creating its own identity and atmosphere. It is now popular by choice and the mainly young crowd have forgiven the bar for ever having anything to do with the previous owners.

Affinity is modern by Sheffield gay scene standards. It offers exactly what you would expect from a city centre venue and is quickly gaining a niche as the place to go when you're out to have a good time. When it's quiet it's the perfect place to relax and when it's busy then just about anything goes! Affinity is carefully managed and provides a clean and stylish atmosphere for the gay customer.

| Monday Karaoke with Anja Bach |
Anja Bach hosts the karaoke night : lubricate your vocal chords, grab a microphone, and show everyone what you're made of? Not the busiest night of the week, but a welcome change after the hustle and bustle of the weekend. If you're looking for something at the start of the working week then you can do a lot worse than take a trip to Affinity tonight.

| Tuesday Student Night - £1 Drinks |
| DJ James playing commercial pop, dance and classics from 9pm. Sheffield students take note of this one because House Spirits and Mixers and Selected Bottles are just £1 all night. No other gay venues can offer the cheapest Tuesday night out. This attracts a regular and enthusiastic crowd and is an ideal attraction to the younger crowd. |
| Legendary Sheffield DJ Baby D (Club Xes, IDentity)plays a host of your faves from the 80s and 90s along with the more recent favourite tunes. Free sweets on the bar, and drink offers throughout the night. Get your shirt, tie, and short trousers on and go boogie! A top night to catch up on old skool tracks and remember the days when you were just a little boy in short trousers! |
| Thursday Indie/Electro Night |
| Lias and Sandra start your weekend early with a mix of indie and electro tracks. This night started in October 2008 and reflects a change in musical policy that seems to be sweeping Sheffield's Gay Scene at the moment. Dare we say that things are finally moving away from cheesy pop? This night has been well received and will grow in importance over the coming weeks. |
From 9pm every Friday Anja Bach plays the best mix of chart, pop and commercial dance tracks. Make Affinity the starting point for your night out. This is the bar where the city's suited and booted enjoy a Friday evening pint before heading home. Then Affinity makes way for the party crowd who turn out in their numbers before heading for the late licence venues.

| Saturday DJ James and DJ Daz |
DJ James and DJ Daz play the latest music and classic dance tracks. There's also a chance to get your requests played if you grovel nicely in front of the decks. Easily the best night at Affinity with plenty going on and crowds to match. The bar area gets a bit crowded but it adds to the atmosphere which is definitely party mode. Open until 2am with a young vibrant crowd.

Sunday Live Cabaret and Bingo
Changing the theme of Sunday nights at Affinity. Ms Anja Bach will be doing her live cabaret show on the first and third week of the month. She's also the one hosting prize bingo where the attraction is the chance to win drinks as prizes! We are amazed at what bingo means to a gay audience but it seems to work everywhere... so who are we to complain?
